On episode 7, the Crawleys will head for the Brooklands racing track where Henry Talbot (Matthew Goode) is racing. While fans were expecting the worse and assuming that Henry will see his end in the episode, it was revealed that Henry’s teammate, Charlie Rogers, played by Sebastian Dunn, had crashed during the race. It not only devastates Henry, but brings back too many painful memories and a look at what a life with Henry might be like for Mary.

In happier news, Edith (Laura Carmichael) fields a proposal from Bertie Pelham (Harry Hadden-Paton).

She did not leave without causing a scene with Amelia, played by Phoebe Sparrow.

The footage also shows Mr. Carson (Jim Carter) warning that the Crawley family is on the brink of being dragged into a “local brouhaha”. Molesley (Kevin Doyle) was offered a job at the village school after he passed the exam with flying colors.

Actress Lily James, who quit the hit ITV period drama last year to take part in the live Disney adaptation of Cinderella, has revealed that she has reprised the role of Lady Rose for this year’s Christmas Day Special of Downton Abbey, so the British edition of Harper’s Bazaar reports.

Speaking of returning to Downton Abbey, Lily told the magazine, “It was incredible to go back after a break. You are just totally re-inspired by the wonder of it, that grand house against grey skies and all the friends you haven’t seen in so long”, said. During an intense fight, Lady Edith says this to Lady Mary: “I know you”.

The final series of Downton Abbey is set in 1925, with the narrative exploring the decline of the Crawley household.
