US presidential candidate Donald Trump canceled a campaign rally Friday night amid security concerns just hours after the Republican front-runner earned the endorsement of a former rival who said the billionaire’s pugnacious campaign style is belied by a more thoughtful, private side.

Carson announced he is endorsing Trump.
“There is a very significant number of Republicans that will never vote for him”, Rubio said on CBS This Morning. “That was political stuff and you know that happens in American politics”.
“We move on”, he added. “It’s about America”, Carson said. “I have found talking with him that there’s alot more alignment, philosophically and spiritual”.

Carson’s limited grasp of the issues was evident time and again during his campaign for president.

The two men emphasized that they had reconciled after attacks during the campaign.

I realize that, most of the time, voters are not strongly influenced by endorsements from newspapers, former candidates, etc. That’s one of the reasons I haven’t made one myself.
Carson said on Friday that he opposed to efforts within the Republican Party to derail Trump’s candidacy. The retired neurosurgeon will back the bombastic businessman despite numerous calls for civility among candidates throughout his campaign.

Trump also raised the possibility that he will not attend the next Republican debate, scheduled for later this month in Salt Lake City.
