Last week, Ice Cube “casually” let it slip during a radio interview that Dr. Dre was coming out with a new album on August 1.
In addition to producing hits for some of the most popular acts in hip-hop, Dre has also become the industry’s most successful businessman. Despite the film being three years away, theres been a lot of chatter lately about who will direct the solo film. He also landed a Grammy Award for the single Let Me Ride. His last album was “2001” released in 1999. It’s not certain what will happen, but the soundtrack to “Straight Outta Compton” might just turn out to be what “Detox” would’ve been in another place in another world. “No question.
