Dr Dre TV show detailed as Apple original called Vital Signs

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Apple is developing a TV series starring Dr. Dre – who, of course, is a co-founder of the now Apple-owned Beats. That could be change now, and with a star that one could argue has been underutilized since he joined Apple. It’s not known if the show was part of the reason Dre sold Beats to Apple or if it materialized afterward.

Apple has, on the other hand, begun streaming video content in a few areas. In fact, an episode filming Monday and Tuesday this week featured an extended orgy scene. The half-hour show, which will likely be distributed through Apple Music, is described as “a dark drama with no shortage of violence and sex”. Sam Rockwell is also reportedly involved with Vital Signs. Sources tell THR naked extras simulated sex in a mansion in the Bird Streets neighborhood of Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills. The report also notes that similar projects aren’t now in development, although other series with artists on Apple Music remain possible. For one, it obviously has a close relationship with Dre, and it makes sense to leverage that.

The tech company’s move into original programming has been rumored for months.
