Dr. Oz on Trump’s Medical Checkup: He’s ‘Healthy Enough’ to Be President
Mr. Trump’s liver function and thyroid function tests are all within the normal range, and his last colonoscopy was preformed in 2013 and was normal, Dr. Harold Bernstein wrote in a letter released Thursday by Mr. Trump’s campaign. Bornstein has been Trump’s physician for more than three decades.

Trump has sought to frame his medical history as evidence he is more open than Democratic presidential nominee Hillary ClintonHillary Rodham ClintonTrump: I wouldn’t talk “bad” medical results Clinton hits Trump over lack of disclosure in new ad Chips and trade: the semiconductor industry and the fate of the TPP MORE.
“The letter I read would be typical for a person running a company, and I think that’s pretty parallel – it’s not exactly the same, but pretty parallel to what you want to have, to judge if someone is going to be healthy enough to lead you”, Oz said on NBC’s “Today” show Thursday.
Trump’s segment on the medical show will air Thursday.
“I think both (presidential) candidates should have what we call neuropsychologic testing”, Dr. David Scheiner told CNN’s Erin Burnett on “OutFront” Wednesday evening.
Trump’s overall advantage in the poll coincides with other polls that show him closing the gap with Clinton. The TV appearance might give the appearance of transparency, but the summary by Bornstein will likely fall far short of experts’ calls for detailed information about Trump’s health and medical history.
We all know Trump loves to play golf. He said that when he’s with the 39-year-old Brady, “I feel I’m the same age as him”.
It seems as though Donald Trump’s campaign is making an effort to appear more transparent to the public – but is it working?
“I would say it should not be prescription”, he added.
Trump released a separate letter from Bornstein in December, in which the physician said that his patient, if elected, would “unequivocally” be “the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency”.
Without explicitly referring to his “Dr. Oz” appearance, Trump said he would release the results from his physical this week.
Clinton on Wednesday released an updated review of her physical fitness and details about a recent bout of pneumonia.
