The 2016 Video Music Awards could have easily been renamed “Lemonade 2.0” this year, as Beyoncé swept the categories with her stunning visual album.

Is Drake planning to propose to Rihanna following his very public VMAs gush on August 28?
Rihanna was the center of attention Sunday night at MTV’s Video Music Awards, when she was presented with the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award by Drake.
The Kiwi choreographer and her dancers were behind a string of crowd-wowing performances by Rihanna at the awards in New York City, USA.
Drake also was a topic of conversation.
With headlining performances by Beyonce, Rihanna and Britney Spears, this year’s VMAs mark a low for ratings on the main network, as well. “You have affected so many of our lives in the best way possible”. Okay, we totally ship this, you guys!
The Work hitmakers later hit the town together to celebrate Rihanna’s big win, keeping the party going until the early hours of Monday (29Aug16) at Manhattan’s Up & Down club.
“We love the woman who hasn’t changed since day one”, Drake said of Rihanna during the sweet VMAs moment, according to Us Weekly.
There’s even a video clip of the star chatting to the other people doing their civic duty alongside her.
The 34-year-old superstar led all nominees heading into the show with 11 nods for her groundbreaking Lemonade album and short film.
Rihanna certainly seemed to approve when she shared it herself on Instagram, but if there were ever a clear friendzoning, it happened on the MTV stage Sunday night, for the entire world to see.
