Drake: “I’ve Been In Love With Rihanna Since I Was 22”
Beyoncé rocked the red carpet (with daughter Blue Ivy!) at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards over the weekend – and she basically looked exactly the same as she did at the ceremony 13 years prior.

Rihanna, for one, couldn’t keep from smiling as she took the microphone, Moonman in hand. Those eight wins tied Lady Gaga’s record for most wins in one night by a female artist. But nearly as incredible as her decade of hits and breakthrough music videos, was the completely swoon-worthy introduction Drake gave the “Work” singer in front of millions of live viewers.
Rihanna, meanwhile, was at the top of the VIP list last night as the recipient of the MTV Video Vanguard Award, with the network honouring her illustrious music video career. They’re going to be so proud. It’s the Caribbean’s as a whole. After leaving the stage hand-in-hand and making their way backstage, People reports that Rihanna greeted elated friends and family, giving them a little twerk in her ball gown. But the biggest moment for Rihanna came when Drake – in a tuxedo – presented the award to his former girlfriend. “It’s women, it’s black women”, she told the crowd. The video stars a very fit Teyana Taylor as she makes a simple workout room her private dance studio and drops all of our jaws to the floor. All my adult life, I’ve looked up to her, even though she’s younger than me. “This is the first Vanguard to land anywhere close to my country”. Unfortunately for women, the old “you’re nobody until somebody loves you” adage is still attached to our successes. “But before I do that, Imma talk”, the 39-year-old started before launching into how his controversial video for “Famous” which features naked mannequins of himself, wife Kim Kardashian, Taylor Swift, Donald Trump and more, will lose Video of the Year to Beyonce’s visual for “Formation”.
They probably played footsie with each other under the table, and mouthed “I love you” to each other every time they knew someone was looking-just for the thrill of it.

Mr. Champagne Papi also posted a late-night selfie with Rih, with what appears to be a wine glass, saying “This is a night for us all to be thankful for what you have done for us!” They’re like, ‘Mom! You’re cool now!
