Police say he was also in possession of a Talking Stick Arena Resort credential.
Police identified Travion King, 21, from surveillance footage at the Talking Stick Arena in downtown Phoenix, where Drake’s tour buses were parked outside during the night of the crime.
Police supposedly recovered all the stolen items that were being kept in a briefcase.
Mr King was initially arrested on a separate trespassing charge by campus police at Arizona State University in the early hours of Wednesday.
Now that the jewelry has been recovered, Drake is free to focus on other things, namely music.
Lewis said King was being re-booked into jail in connection with the burglary. Staff at the venue would not comment on the alleged theft from Drake’s tour bus.
Drake, who had a barmitzvah and went to a Jewish school, has been co-headlining his Summer Sixteen concert tour with fellow rapper Future.
Although the jewellery actually belonged to Drake’s DJ and manager Future The Prince, Drizzy looked furious in a video posted online by TMZ.
Since the news broke about the theft of $3 million worth of property, the police department issued a press release about the case.
