The grainy, 48-second video shot from what appears to be an automobile dashboard that emerged Tuesday night is ghastly. But he says he’s “encouraged” the U.S. Justice Department is conducting a civil rights investigation into the Louisiana shooting.
“Would this have happened if. the driver and passenger were white? I don’t think it would have”.
Minnesota Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison, who called on the Justice Department to take the case, told CNN, “When there’s no justice, people are driven to extremes”.
“People are not just going to live in a state of injustice because a state of injustice is a state of oppression”, he said.
The video was streamed on a Facebook account under the name Lavish Reynolds. Ms. Reynolds said she was then taken out of the auto, told to go down on her knees, handcuffed, and put in the back of a police vehicle. His girlfriend’s four-year-old daughter was in the backseat the whole time.
Protesters and activists are demanding justice after the United States police fatally shot a man during a routine traffic stop in front of his girlfriend and a child on Wednesday night. “I do not know the answer. I always told them, whatever you do when you get stopped by police, comply, comply, comply”.
“My nephew was executed”, Clarence Castile added.
In response to the deadly shootings by police officers in two separate incidents, a pair of GoFundMe pages have been setup for the families of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile.

A Facebook video recorded by Castile’s girlfriend appears to show the aftermath of the shooting, a man can be seen wearing a blood-soaked white t-shirt and slumped in the driver’s seat of the vehicle while an officer is at the window pointing a gun inside.
He went on to claim that the police officers involved later reached into Sterling’s pocket and pulled a firearm out. The cell phone camera pans off and then you hear additional shots.
The new video was provided to several media outlets by Abdullah Muflahi, owner of the Triple S Food Mart near where the shooting took place.
According to news reports, Sterling was confronted by police after an anonymous caller reported being threatened by someone with a gun outside the Baton Rouge convenience store.
Baton Rouge Mayor-President Kip Holden and police said they welcomed the probe launched by the Justice Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and federal prosecutors.
Mr Obama has wrestled for much of his presidency with the policing issue, the “Black Lives Matter” movement and his role as the first black president in responding to them. His left arms and hands are not visible; his right arm is by his side.

“We want to know what happened, we want to know the truth”, said Dabadie, who did not clarify which officer fired the fatal shots.
