According to ASU police, King was found near Barretts Honors College with the briefcase containing the stolen jewelry.
Late Wednesday, it was revealed the thief who stole around million in jewelry from Drake’s tour bus has been caught! Police said the jewelry was recovered. After speaking with him, the jewellery was apparently returned intact and in full to Drake and his touring partner, according to TMZ.
Phoenix police arrested 21-year-old Travion King and charged him with theft, ET has learned.
It’s believed that King worked as a security guard at the Talking Stick Resort Arena, but wasn’t on duty during Drake’s gig. A student called police to alert them of the trespasser; he was arrested around 3:30 a.m.
Sgt Lewis did not say who owned the jewellery, but he confirmed it did not belong to Drake. The diamonds and gold belonged to Drake’s DJ Future the Prince.
Representatives for Drake did not immediately respond to requests for comment Wednesday.
