Drama over Fallout 4’s “stolen” Xbox One mods

Suspecting it was just a listing error at the front of the store, I added both to my cart expecting to eventually run into the correct price, but nope, turns out they really were free, because they’re now both in my Xbox One library without me paying a cent.

Xbox Support also confirmed that under licensing agreements, the users who were able to get the games for free will have their licenses revoked automatically.

And on that note, Bethesda intends to improve its comments system on the mod details page, so that modders can receive improved feedback on their creations.

A number of you have reported instances of users uploading Mod content that allegedly does not belong to the Mod creator.

Bethesda recently introduced the ability for Xbox One players to download mods for Fallout 4, something that was previously reserved for PC players, and while it seems like a step in the right direction, something not so good is happening…

Some are even threatening to stop making mods that might be compatible with the “Xbox One” until “Bethesda” starts putting the burden of proof on the uploaders of the mods instead of the authors.

Fallout 4 is one of the biggest games developed and released in November 2015.
