One of the rescue party cuts through the roof of the woman’s convertible and jumps into the water to pull her out.

Immediately she tells the man who saved her to get her dog, which was also in the vehicle.

The floods, which have killed at least three people, are the result of torrential downpours that continue to batter parts of the southern U.S. state.

The state capital of Baton Rouge picked up more than 19 inches, while New Orleans received more than 6 inches.

Forecasters predict the storm will turn north, saying parts of central and northern Louisiana and southern Texas may see heavy rain for several days.

Luckily for the woman she and her pet survived the ordeal, however sadly three people have died in the floods which hit Baton Rouge last week.
