Draymond Green Arrested for Assault

East Lansing police department are not releasing any information on the arrest, not even confirming that Green was arrested, but saying that they did arrest a current National Basketball Association player for assault and multiple news outlets have reported that it was Green. He was released on a $200 bond Monday. They have also not confirmed that Green was arrested. He has ten days to return to East Lansing for arraignment.

“We are aware of news involving Draymond Green in MI over the weekend”. The Warriors said the team was collecting information about the incident and declined comment “until we have a better understanding of the situation”.

The 26-year-old Green was detained on Sunday in East Lansing, Michigan where he played four seasons of college basketball, according to court documents obtained by the American sports broadcaster. He averaged 14 points, 9.5 rebounds and 7.4 assists, leading to his first all-star selection in his career. He was previously fined after appearing to make contact with Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams.

The All Star power forward was embroiled in post season controversy for his physical play which led to a critical NBA Finals Game 5 suspension following an altercation with Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James.
