Draymond Green avoids suspension after groin kick

The Warriors defended Green’s knee to Adams’ midsection in Game 2 and again said Sunday’s actions were unintentional.

The NBA opted not to suspend Green for his kick to Steven Adams’ groin in Game 3 Sunday night.

“Honestly, I think it’s intentional”, Westbrook said.

For the second time in two games, Adams caught a Draymond Green kick with his dick and balls.

Both he and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said that the flagrant foul should be rescinded by the league office. Green ranks towards the top in two very important categories, charges drawn (sixth) and contested shots (second).

“Does he have to be careful?”

CITY (AP) – Draymond Green knows who is responsible for his kick to the groin of Thunder center Steven Adams: Russell Westbrook and the rest of the National Basketball Association stars who get to the foul line with a whole lot of salesmanship. “I don’t think you could ever really compare a leg to an arm”. Guys do it to try to sell contact.

“Russell Westbrook kicked me at the end of the half”, Green said. If they think it’s on goal, play the game, you know. The NBA reviews all flagrant fouls and will decide what action to take.

Just hours before the ruling was made, Green said that he feared a suspension was on the horizon. But this is an All-NBA utility knife we’re talking about, the spirit and soul of the Warriors (not to mention the shutdown defender, the best passer and one helluva offensive sidekick). The Warriors can obviously win without Green, and they can certainly lose with him.

However, fans stated that his is not the way the game of basketball should be played.

“That’s what was frustrating to me”, he said. I asked the official, he said, “I don’t think it was with intent, it was just the fact that you hit him under the groin that I have to call a flagrant”. “Everything else is pretty irrelevant to me”.

Green has been below his standard throughout the series. Green was named to the All-Star team this season and averaged 14.5 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.7 assists during the regular season. He’s averaging 13 points per game on 37 percent shooting in the series, and just 5.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists.
