Draymond Green court hearing to be held before Olympics

A Michigan State athletic department spokesman reiterated Thursday that granting football player Jermaine Edmondson a release to transfer is “not directly tied” to an incident involving Draymond Green.

New York Jets linebacker and MSU alumnus Taiwan Jones tweeted a scene from the movie Friday, when Ezal, a homeless man, fakes a fall at a liquor store and demands $150,000 in compensation. The officer wrote in the report that he “observed a taller, b/m, wearing a white t-shirt, open handedly slap another b/m across the face.”

In three seasons with the Spartans, the 22-year-old Edmondson had 38 tackles (22 solo, 16 assisted), three pass defenses and two fumble recoveries over 20 games. Edmondson claimed that he was “choked out” by two companions of Green, before his girlfriend was also choked by another companion. “We have granted his immediate release to transfer to another institution to have that opportunity”. He was released on $200 bond and reports showed him having a blood alcohol content of.10.

“I think when things happen, I think you meet them head on”, Green said. He said “as he responded to me he began to poke me on my shoulder and I tell him that he doesn’t need to put his hands on me, we can just talk”.

Green, the Warriors’ All-Star power forward and member of U.S. Olympic basketball team, made his first public comments since the arrest when he appeared Tuesday at Fortune’s Brainstorm Tech conference in Aspen, Colorado. “As I started to talk again, boom, I’m punched in my jaw”.

Edmondson informed the university of his wishes to be granted his release so he would be able to transfer to another school. He went on to say that his attorneys will handle the legal side of the situation and that he will learn from the incident and move on.
