Draymond Green on groin kick of Steven Adams: ‘It wasn’t on purpose’
Westbrook straight up accused Green of intentionally kicking Adams, and Donavan didn’t speculate on his intent but questioned the fact that it’s happened in two straight games.

Whether the National Basketball Association front office believe him or not could determine the direction of the Western Conference Finals.
Green was assessed a Flagrant 1 penalty and allowed to stay in the game, even though this was the second time he had hit Adams in the groin this series.
J.R. Smith of the Cavs, however, did receive a two-game suspension after a Flagrant 2 foul and ejection when he elbowed Boston’s Jae Crowder in the biker bar rumble that was the fourth game of that opening series in 2015. “He went up for a shot”. The upgrade to the flagrant-2 was the NBA’s way of saying he should have been ejected Sunday, although making him stick around for the rest of Oklahoma City’s 133-105 win was probably a harsher punishment than getting to watch it from the sanctity of the locker room would have been. “I’m not trying to end that on the basketball court”. That don’t make sense. “I was just bad”.
“I know my (abdominal) core’s not strong enough to stop my leg halfway from wherever it was going”.
“I didn’t see the Dahntay Jones incident, but from what I heard, is he punched him”, Green said. “My spirit, my edge that I bring to the floor”. “I don’t know how anyone could possibly say that I did that on objective, regardless of the way it may look”.
“Honestly, I think it’s intentional”, he said. But it wasn’t on objective. “That’s not what I try to do when I’m playing”. The sum of his production was 6 points (1-of-7 shooting from the field), 11 rebounds, two assists, three steals, one blocked shot – and six turnovers.
After his explanation, Green went on to bash Russell Westbrook for his “acting” during the game and stated that Westbrook went on to accuse him of doing such a thing with intention. “He just didn’t happen to catch me where I caught Steven Adams”. There’s frustration. Like I said, there’s also a lot of flailing. “But, you caught him in the groin area, so I have to give you a flagrant, ‘” Green said.

“I don’t think I’ll be suspended”, Green added. Westbrook’s response: “I don’t know how to flop”. It happened, I think, last game to Steven.
