Draymond Green records his third straight triple-double

“But he’s a guy who I love, I love his energy, I love how hard he plays and I just want him to continue to grow in that department.”…

Although Green’s best attribute is probably his ability to be a lockdown defender against so many different positions, he’s really starting to come into his own on offense.

However, other players have grown on their own like Andre Iguodala, Harrison Barnes and, most importantly, Draymond Green who has been a steady performer with triple-doubles in multiple occasions already this season. Last month, Green became the third player in league history to have a 5×5 game. In the first 19 games the Warriors played throughout October and November, Thompson averaged a mere 15.4 points, equivalent to his scoring output in his second year with Golden State. Klay Thompson scored 22 points in the first quarter, putting the Warriors on his back while taking the Lakers out of the game right out of the gates. The 30-6 Spurs sit just 3 1/2 games behind the Warriors for first place in the West and haven’t yet lost at home, so homecourt advantage could factor into which team moves on in a potential conference finals series.

Can the Lakers keep rolling with the reigning champs in town or will the Warriors put a stop to LA’s winning ways?

On whether his shin usually draws this much contact when he’s fully healthy, Curry said, “If it was 100 percent and I got kicked there, probably wouldn’t have the same effect”.

The Warriors announced early in the fourth quarter that Curry would not return to the game, which by then was well in hand. Bryant has missed seven games this season.

This is the second meeting between the two teams and they are slated to clash four times in the regular season. Curry’s finger roll on the ensuing possession would kick-start a 22-0 Golden State run over the next five minutes, putting the game out of reach for good.

Arron Afflalo and Carmelo Anthony both scored 23 points for the Knicks.

Every time Stephen Curry hobbles or limps, the entire Golden State Warriors fan base holds their breath.

Golden State also rested center Festus Ezeli and guard Shaun Livingston. “I asked the trainers, and they said he’s good, so we put him back out”.

Goran Dragic added 13 for Miami, which matched a season best with its third straight win. “We just weren’t able to get over that hump”. G Leandro Barbosa (left shoulder sprain) and F James Michael McAdoo (sprained toe, left foot) remain sidelined.
