He played in 14 games for the Spartans last season, finishing with 24 tackles, three passes defended, and two fumble recoveries.
Also, many who were there said Edmondson’s group was the aggressor, but this statement makes it seem as if Green was egging him on all weekend and basically asking for an altercation. We look forward to a full and thorough investigation and to the real facts coming to light.
East Lansing police on Wednesday released a report of the incident, which occurred outside a restaurant early Sunday.
Green does not seem to be too anxious about the ordeal as he stated, “I think when things happen, I think you meet them head-on”. It’s resulted in an assault charge. As a public figure, I can’t put myself in certain situations. Sports, Edmondson, in his statement to the police, detailed that his first encounter with Green happened on Friday, July 8 when Green allegedly bumped into him inside a bar.
Edmondson then alleged someone with Green choked his girlfriend as she tried to squash the issue.
“Saturday, July 9th (the night of my birthday) Me, my girlfriend, and a couple of other friends went back to Ricks to celebrate and enjoy my night”.
The maximum penalty Green could face if found guilty of the assault charge is a $500 fine and/or 90 days in jail.
According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Green admitted to slapping Edmondson and was drunk at the time of his arrest with a.10 blood-alcohol level. Edmondson said that after the bar closed, he confronted Green on the sidewalk outside the bar and told him “last night wasn’t cool”.
Jermaine Edmondson is a cornerback on the Michigan State football team, and he said that his incident with Green carried over from the previous night. “It’s something that I’ll learn from and just move on”.

Green is still expected to be able to participate in the upcoming Rio Olympics as part of Team USA.
