The National Weather Service’s 30-day outlook predicts more rain than usual heading into December, and it will be falling on top of the 6.6 inches the area endured during October.

Today’s high is 63 degrees, with a 90 percent chance of rain.

As of 2:30 a.m., rainfall amounts around the county ranged from about a tenth of an inch up to a quarter-inch.

ABC News reported that come Wednesday, the storm will gather more strength and it may become a powerful hurricane that can bring rain squalls, turbulent winds, and even tornadoes in Bermuda and neighboring places. Total precipitation: 0.07 inches of rain. Another factor is that the storms are to arrive in the late evening, much later in the day than the storms of a couple of years ago, so cooler conditions should exist. Morning highs near 50 will fall to the low 40s by later Thursday. The best bet for consistent rain is Tuesday, accompanied by gusty winds exceeding 20 miles per hour.
