The 41-year-old actress reportedly filed official papers in a Manhattan court in NY on Friday (07.15.16), three months after announcing the end of their four-year marriage. The actress and art consultant have been married since 2012, and have two handsome children together: Olive, 3, and Frankie, 2.
The statement also mentioned that kids would remain their first priority for “the rest of our lives”.
Barrymore’s been married twice before – she tied the knot with Jeremy Thomas in 1994 and with Tom Green in 2011 – both marriages lasted less than a year.
It read: “Sadly our family is separating legally, although we do not feel this takes away from us being a family”.
In the months that followed, the Blended star has done her part in moving upward and onward, her social media presence hallmarked by time spent with her children and loved ones.
The “Miss You Already” actress is reportedly in talks about being at the helm of her own chat show in a joint deal with Warner Bros. and Ellen DeGeneres’ A Very Good Production company.
