For the second time this off-season, Johnny Manziel is without an agent.

According to ESPN’s Ed Werder, this is the first time Rosenhaus has fired a player in 27 years as an agent.
Rosenhaus said he chose to cut ties with Manziel “in the hopes of helping him get the treatment I believe he needs”. That case will go to a grand jury on Thursday with an indictment coming as early as Monday. After his partying ways and troubles with the law, Manziel was waived March 11. Last Friday, Rosenhaus said that the 23-year-old player has taken no step towards seeking professional help.
From the Browns to agent Erik Burkhardt to agent Drew Rosenhaus to the marketing agency owned by LeBron James, plenty of folks have had enough of Johnny (a/k/a Jonathan) Manziel.
Manziel released a statement on Tuesday, saying he hopes “to take care of the issues in front of him right now”, trying focus on what he has to do to play in 2016.
Manziel partied with Josh Gordon at Coachella, only two days after Rosenhaus issued the warning.
The deal Manziel had with Panini America expired, said one source, though the collectible company specializing in sports is continuing to sell Manziel’s products online.
The Dallas police department completed its investigation of the case in February and turned it over to a grand jury, but the term ended last week. “I also continue to be thankful to those who really know me and support me”.
The most important matter looming for Manziel is again off the field.
If Manziel does make it back to an National Football League roster, he will have to do so with a new agent who is willing to do what Manziel may eventually ask of National Football League teams.

While that’s most definitely a good sign, it’s important to note that the former Heisman victor has failed at every turn off the field.
