Driver held in Vegas crash had pot in system
The Clark County District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday that toxicology test results showed Lakeisha Holloway, 24, tested positive for marijuana and marijuana metabolites.

Holloway, 24, is accused of killing one woman and injuring dozens of other people when she allegedly ran up onto a sidewalk on December 20. She couldn’t explain why she drove onto the sidewalk.
Holloway’s court-appointed defense attorneys, Joseph Abood and Scott Coffee, said the amounts don’t prove that her driving was affected.
According to a police report, Holloway told investigators at the time that she was not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol.
The endangerment charge stems from allegations that Holloway had her 3-year-old daughter with her in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Holloway’s daughter was not injured and has been taken into protective custody.
About 30 minutes after she drove away from the scene, Las Vegas police said Holloway asked an employee in the valet area of the Tuscany Hotel to call 911.
Last week, Wolfson said the evidence against Holloway was “compelling”, following the suspect’s first court hearing since the deadly incident.
Authorities said she may have been on her way to Texas to see the girl’s father at the time of the crash.
She will likely face additional charges, probably attempted murder, Wolfson said.
