“While they continue in their recovery, they are unable to accept calls or visitors, and we politely ask that you respect the privacy of the coaches and their families”, the release said. Of those five, “two were in critical condition, two were in serious condition and one was in fair condition”, according to KUSA-TV.
Police were investigating the possibility she suffered a medical condition.
The driver of the pickup truck was also taken to the hospital for injuries.
The driver’s name and possible cause of the crash haven’t been released. More than a dozen students and coaches from Legacy’s Junior Varsity (JV) football team made their escape through an emergency exit. “He’s just really traumatized right now”, Segura said.
DIA reported the crash at around 3:18 p.m.
The school bus was transporting 20 children to Kathleen High School.
The driver reportedly remained in the wrecked bus until a tow truck was able to move the bus back from the pillar.
Police Sergeant Mike Farr said the driver crashed into a pillar in the vehicle park, but the reason for the crash is not known. He added that they were all able to get out of the wrecked bus by themselves. “They really don’t know why”.

He added that the other bus drivers were uncertain why the bus circled back to Level 4 instead of heading for the airport’s exit.
