Drone armed with a handgun terrifies the internet (Wired UK)
In a YouTube video uploaded last Friday and unearthed by Wired, a flying quadcopter drone is seen firing a handgun four times in a woodland area.

In 2013, the Washington Times reported that an FAA officials told industry leaders: ‘We now have rules in the books that deal with releasing anything from an aircraft, period.
As for the legality of such a device, Jim Williams with the Federal Aviation Administration a few years ago referenced already established rules that “would prohibit weapons from being installed on a civil aircraft”.
It’s as simple as that, assuming the video displays a functional concept. Afterall, consumers can purchase both drones and guns and it doesn’t take that much skill to attach the two.
As if having guns in the hands of people isn’t bad enough, homemade drones can now shoot handguns. While the video was clearly a marketing stunt to sell screen protectors, it wasn’t obvious whether the drone itself was actually firing the gun, or whether clever editing and blank cartridges had been used to make it appear this way.
TheHogwit YouTube channel is run by Austin Haughwout, whose drone use caused problems in the past. Footage of the incident went viral, and Mears was charged with third-degree assault before being granted probation.
Putting guns on drones isn’t such a mad idea if you ask the military.

There’s no question that if this is real it is very unsafe and definetley illegal.
