Donald Trump says Republican senators who are trashing him in public are calling him in private because they want to “become involved” in his presidential campaign, eventually.

“I wouldn’t lead it, but I think bad things would happen”, he said, adding that the outcome would “disenfranchise” his supporters.

TV advertising spending estimates come from CMAG/Kantar Media and cover spending in Florida, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina and OH from January 1, 2015 to March 15, 2016.

As counting in the Missouri primary continues for the Republicans, CNN projected a tight race between Trump and Cruz.

Republican Donald Trump had another great night with three major victories and a near tie, while a big loss in his home state of Florida prompted Marco Rubio to drop his White House bid.

Today he also seemed unconvinced that the party would get together around a Trump nomination as Republicans usually do once a frontrunner gains steam.

‘In an ideal world, you have a nominee, and people coalesce around the nominee, and it gives you a stronger position in the general election, ‘ Rubio said. “I say, well, there are a lot of people running for president”.

Over the next few weeks and months we’ll see the Cruz campaign and others lobby those delegates hard and do their best to charm them away from Trump.

Kasich won unsurprisingly in his home state of OH with 43 percent of the vote – it was his first state win.

Trump’s Florida victory brought his delegate total to 621. Ted Cruz trailed close to hang on to third place, while Ohio Governor John Kasich barely hit double digits. Rubio (Fla.) out, it is a multi-candidate race for the foreseeable future.

But here’s why OH was so important Tuesday, even with the fact that Kasich has already been mathematically eliminated. The fiery conservative needs to claim roughly 75 percent of the remaining delegates to earn the delegate majority, according to Associated Press delegate projections.
