Dropbox app coming for Windows 10
The success of Windows 10 still depends on them and Microsoft is trying to encourage them to use its new “Universal Windows Apps” platforms.

Microsoft today published a list of Intel Skylake-based PCs that can run Windows 7/8.1 operating systems but will have truncated Windows product lifecycle support. Last month, a less than stellar update landed to the flagship smartphones carrying Windows 10 Mobile.
Last week, Microsoft revealed that it was changing how it will support older (but supported) versions of Windows on new hardware platforms.
One of the more notable features is that Dropbox will work with Windows Hello, a security layer in Windows 10.
Author compares the use of desktop app with that of the UWP app and states that benefits of desktop app overpowers the UWP app. The desktop app sync all my Dropbox files locally and automatically.
Dropbox says you’ll be able to grab the new app from the Windows Store.
Using Windows Hello with my face, it’s a fair bit quicker than typing in my password every time, while being more secure than simply having the app remember my log in info.
Further, what isn’t also known at this point is if it is the French carrier’s delay in its own homologation process for the Windows 10 Mobile that has pushed back the launch schedule or the buck ends with Microsoft itself.
Add Comments- The new app also allows users to add comments directly to the files and through @mentions, one can notify shared users of any update that you have been working together on. When the February updates land on the handsets, they will receive not only the latest Windows 10 Mobile build straight on, but the service update, as well. The app appears to be a good citizen, taking advantage of platform features when and where it can.

According to a Microsoft Insider, the company has indeed sent an email to all of its partners to warn them that Windows 10 Mobile was not ready yet. Eventually, these features moved to the Web with integration between Office online and the Dropbox website. But on my PC, I don’t really want an app. I don’t want a special destination that I have to go to in order to do special Dropbox things. “With Windows 10 running on over 200 million devices worldwide, we’re excited to continue to offer our fans easy and convenient access to photos, documents, and files anytime, anywhere”.
