What’s left now for Jennifer Neville-Lake and her husband, Edward Neville, is unimaginable.

Although gas prices may seem ridiculously high right now, think back – they’re not as bad as they… She did. “That’s my van”, she said. I don’t say that to minimize the horror or the loss, but that people should judge honestly.

Daniel Neville-Lake, 9, his brother Harrison, 5, and sister Millie, 2, died as a result of the crash.

A man and a child died in the crash, according to media reports. Whereas, court documents name the grandfather as Gary Neville. Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board spokesperson Bruce Campbell said that students were informed of the deaths this morning by their teachers.

“I know that when we are able to see them it’s going to be devastating”.

We got lucky, and there were none.

“I’m sure you can appreciate that this is a very tough time for him”, he said outside the courthouse after the hearing.

As news of the horrific crash spread, the usual things began to happen: Someone set up an online fundraising page for the Neville-Lake family, a flowers-and-stuffed animal memorial sprung up outside the family’s home and outraged demands grew for stiffer penalties for impaired driving and zero tolerance.

The van collided with a black SUV at the intersection of Kirby Road and Kipling Avenue north of Kleinburg just after 4 p.m. ET Sunday.

Officers say there were two people in a third vehicle and were not injured. Constable Andy Pattenden explained that “one of the men succumbed to his injuries at the scene”. Their maternal grandmother and great-grandmother were also in the minivan, remain in hospital but are expected to recover from comparatively minor injuries.

“There’s a number of serious injuries”, he added.

Three children, all under the ages of 10 were also removed from the vehicle with life-threatening injuries.

A 65-year-old man and a 9-year-old boy died Sunday, while two other children were taken to hospital with critical injuries.

The suspect, identified as Marco Muzzo of King Township, appeared in a Newmarket court on Monday morning.
