Drunk, knife-wielding monkey chases customers around bar

The small monkey caused havoc in the watering hole in Paraiba, Brazil, after necking the dregs from glasses dotted around the premises.

I mean first of all, it’s an intoxicated monkey wielding a knife for Christ’s sake.

“It was a bar staff oversight that ended with the monkey drinking some rum and taking the knife”, said area fire chief Lieutenant Colonel Saul Laurentino to The Mirror.

The owner of the bar called firefighters, who after some searching and manouvering were able to find and capture the capuchin.

The footage, posted on LiveLeak, shows the little monkey on the roof of the bar with a knife nearly as large as its body.

However, officials said the monkey began scaring local families and children so had to be caught again.

The monkey was captured and released into a nearby reserve but more aggresive behaviour led to the cheeky monkey being captured again.
