Drunk man leaves huge tip, comes back for it the next day
Over the weekend, it appeared as if another random act of extreme generosity took place at Thailicious, a restaurant in the Denver suburb of Edgewater, Colo. Either way, there’s no doubt that a big tip goes a long way, particularly from the point of view of the restaurant you’re eating in.

“He said he’d read a lot of stories like this, but usually the tip is a couple hundred dollars, not $1,000”, she told the Denver Post, adding: “He was so happy”.
He paid the bill plus around £28 as a tip – meaning he left $100 instead of $1,000.
A Colorado restaurant diner left an extremely generous tip after having one too many drinks, then returned to take it all back.
Unfortunately for Anantatho’s waitstaff, that was indeed the case the following morning when the customer came back, apologized and asked for it back.
The patron allegedly thought he had put a bunch of $1 bills in the checkbook-not a stack of $100s.
Thailicious’s owners were overjoyed but also uneasy, and held onto the money in case it was a mistake. “We felt really good and never hesitated to return the money to our guest”.
“Many people have said we have a right to keep the money since it was already in the checkbook”, Anantatho said.
And when the restaurant opened Tuesday morning, the man was there- $1,000 poorer but full of apologies.

Ananthatho refunded the man, who gave back $100 to cover the dinner – a $40 tip.
