A drunken expatriate rammed his sports utility vehicle (SUV) into the Indian gate of the Wagah-Attari border in the wee hour of Monday, triggering a major breach in Indian border security.

The driver who has done this negligence was apprehended by BSF officials while the vehicle was taken into custody by Pakistani officials after it crossed the border to enter into Pakistani territory, said the sources. According to the reports, Singh was undergoing psychiatric treatment.
During preliminary interrogation, Kang revealed that he had wanted to visit a few religious places in Pakistan.
BSF initially claimed its personnel had stopped Kang much before the gate and the high security zone.
Singh was later booked by the Indian police for attempted murder under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code and other provisions of the law, including attempting to cross the border without valid visa or other documents.
“All gates were closed at that time and it was dark”.
The man breached the security on the Indian side by overrunning a check post and reached zero point of the border.
Pakistan daily Dawn quoted security sources as saying that the Pakistan Rangers have asked the BSF authorities to conduct an inquiry into the incident.
Indian BSF arrested the driver and launched investigation.
Later, however, BSF officials said that they knowingly refrained from opening fire at the unidentified vehicle.
