This was contained in the update posted on the airline’s twitter account.
“275 passengers and crew were on board of Emirates flight EK521 from Thiruvananthapuram to Dubai which was involved in the incident”.
Such restrictions, these experts said, could have made it hard for the pilots to quickly adjust to possible issues with the landing gear or wind shear, a downdraft or sudden change in wind speed or direction close to the ground, a condition that was reported around arrival time.
The Dubai Media Office announced that all operations were suspended from Dubai International Airport, and later said that it was planning to resume departure operations at 6:30 p.m. local time.
The Boeing 777 aircraft, departed at 10.19am from Trivandrum International Airport and was scheduled to land at 12.50pm at Dubai International Airport, Emirates said on its web site.
The Dubai government said that “Emirates crew and emergency teams at Dubai Airport are well trained to deal with such incidents at the highest professional standards”.
Video showed a tower of flame bursting from the front of the Boeing 777-300 jetliner, and then a thick black plume of smoke rising into the sky.
The incident was the most serious to date for Emirates, it being the only loss for the airline since it started operations in 1985.
An Emirates Airline flight is seen after it crash-landed at Dubai International Airport, the UAE August 3, 2016.
Passengers said the cabin crew opened all the emergency exits of the plane everyone on board the aircraft was evacuated within minutes of the landing.
The plane touched down and soon the smoke and fire was visible. Many blue-collar migrant workers employed in the United Arab Emirates and other Gulf nations come from the state, which is also a popular beachside tourist destination.
A spokesman for Dubai Airport said that all passengers and crew had been safely evacuated.
The flight had two Indian crew members on board, he said. Sai Bhaskar, a passenger, said there were no alerts as such to the passengers.

Arriving planes have been diverted to other airports, the government said.
