Dubai’s Apple store to begin selling iPhone 7 on Sept 17

For those interested in buying the phones on the day without pre-booking, after knowing what the actual cost will be, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be sold in iWorld stores and Unicorn stores on the dot at 12AM on October 7th.

However, two of the biggest consumer electronics retail stores in the country, Tata Group’s Croma and Reliance Industry’s Reliance Digital, are still to start pre-bookings for both the smartphones.

Hence, unless one is not planning to take his or her iPhone 7 to the deep waters and have it submerged for long periods of time, then iPhone 7’s waterproofing will come in handy. Pre-orders overseas too commenced as early as September 9th while in India, unfortunately, there was no news of that either.

In announcing the launch of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Apple called the new lineup its “best, most advanced iPhone ever”. The latest handsets, which are slated to be available to customers starting September 16, have already outranked previous iPhone preorder numbers at T-Mobile so far and set a single-day preorder sales record for any smartphone ever offered by T-Mobile, according to a September 13 statement by the company.

Now, in The New York Times’ iPhone 7 review, the publication wrote that next year’s iPhone will “have a full-screen face with the virtual button built directly into the screen”, citing two internal Apple sources. The company is launching the devices in India in the third phase. The starting price of the iPhone 7 in India will be Rs 60,000 for the 32GB storage version. The home button in iPhone 7 and 7 Plus is force sensitive touch surface, which is not clickable like its predecessors. The 3.5mm audio jack is gone and along with it Apple has already removed the physical home button. Of these, the Jet Black colour variant comes only in 128GB and 256GB variants.
