Duchess Kate makes splash with diving club
Kate Middleton AKA the Duchess of Cambridge has recenty become a qualified expert in a hobby we didn’t know she had! The Duchess of Cambridge has passed her advanced open water diver qualification. It means Kate is qualified to dive to a depth of 30 metres and will be able to keep up with her husband on shark dives in the Caribbean.

“Diving is something the Duchess very much enjoys, and the Duke of Cambridge, who is of course President of the BSAC, has said in the past that he is hopeful his children will become interested in the sport”, said a spokesperson for the Duchess.
Qualification for the advanced PADI certification requires divers to complete five dives, including one deep one and an underwater navigation dive.
The organization also says the participant should have expert “compass navigation skills” and should be knowledgeable of improved navigation “using kick-cycles, visual landmarks, and time”.
Jeez, Kate. I was still working on zipping up my old trousers, three months after I had my last baby, but good for you!

The chairman of the diving society is pretty happy with the newest (and probably most fabulous) member of the BSAC, saying “we are thrilled she shares [William’s] interest in the underwater world”.
