The Oregon Ducks have been officially eliminated from the College Football Playoff, according to the unofficial folks over at ESPN. Sophomore Luke Falk threw for 389 yards and two touchdowns last weekend in Washington State’s 34-28 loss to Cal. It was Falk’s third game this season with 300 or more yards.

The Ducks are in unfamiliar territory, as they have struggled to a 3-2 start.
That defense will take on an Oregon offense that is reeling in recent weeks, due in no small part to inconsistent quarterback platy.

Petersen doesn’t have inside information on Oregon’s plans, but given that Jeff Lockie did little to impress in Saturday’s 45-38 2OT loss to Washington State, he’s likely on the money here.
