Ducks fall to Cougars 45-38 in double overtime
The Oregon Ducks have been officially eliminated from the College Football Playoff, according to the unofficial folks over at ESPN. Sophomore Luke Falk threw for 389 yards and two touchdowns last weekend in Washington State’s 34-28 loss to Cal. It was Falk’s third game this season with 300 or more yards.

The Ducks are in unfamiliar territory, as they have struggled to a 3-2 start.
That defense will take on an Oregon offense that is reeling in recent weeks, due in no small part to inconsistent quarterback platy.
“You have two choices, you can go downhill from now and give up or we can get things together and get focused”, Freeman said.
As I mentioned in an earlier article, in 2003 then-head coach Mike Bellotti was inspired to re-invent the Oregon program. Jeff Lockie got the star again, going 13/22 for 123 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. Early Saturday morning many outlets were reporting that not only had Taylor Alie been named the starting quarterback but that the Ducks would continue to use a rotating system.
I think it would be good for us, as long as he comes out, plays well and does what he is capable of doing.
“No matter what your formula is when you don’t have success and how everybody measures success around here is the final score, which we get how important it is”. Luke Falk and the Cougars quickly responded with a 75 yard drive to put the Cougars down 7 going into half. But this year it’s very lopsided. The Buffaloes (3-3, 0-2) lost their 13th straight conference road game, dating to the 2012 season, and are 0-7 all-time against the Sun Devils. They are No. 8 in the nation, and heading to Pocatello for a game against scuffling Idaho State on Saturday.
“The wait-and-see approach is by necessity, just because of the health of a couple guys”, Helfrich said.
Alie, a Sheldon High School graduate, says the quarterback rotation makes things interesting. “The quarterback, he’s been getting hit all game”.
“That’s just me, Gerard and Keith, we always want the ball in our hands, and I feel like that’s made an impact in our season”, Morrow said. Fournette, who ran for a season-low 158 yards against South Carolina, is averaging 204.4 a game.
“It’s a team deal”. They examined how to attack better teams, and they assessed how to match-up against better players. “Obviously, the focal point is at quarterback and a few of the issues that we’ve had at that position are obviously highlighted because of it”, coach Mark Helfrich said.

Junior Arielle Ship returned to the scoring sheet with two goals and an assist, running her season total to 10 goals, as California won its Pac-12 home opener with a 3-2 victory against the Oregon Ducks. In a game that will surely air on “Pac-12 Classics” in the near future, Falk threw for 505 yards in the Cougars’ 45-38 double-overtime win at Oregon, sending the game to overtime on a touchdown pass with one second left and providing the game-winning score in a manner fitting of #Pac12AfterDark. Petersen doesn’t have inside information on Oregon’s plans, but given that Jeff Lockie did little to impress in Saturday’s 45-38 2OT loss to Washington State, he’s likely on the money here.
