TLC’s upcoming specials do not yet have an air date, but the network hopes to have at least the first program out by the end of 2015. Two or three are now planned, the network said.
According to Entertainment Tonight, attendees were not allowed to ask questions about Jessa’s brother Josh Duggar, who is now in rehab after admitting to cheating on his wife on Ashley Madison and the child sexual abuse scandal that got their show axed from TV. Jill and Jessa’s older brother Josh Duggar will not be included.
Sources said that the 27-year-old will not be appearing on any future TLC programming.
Yes, Jessa is expecting her first child, but the thinking amongst many fans is that if she and Ben are that hard up for cash, there are steps they can take that don’t involve asking for handouts.
“We know that our audience is really excited about what’s been going on with Jill and Jessa as they move into young adulthood”, said Daniels.
Seeing as how Josh (and not the inanity of watching a couple whose claim to fame is having as many babies as possible, exceeding the limits of possible responsible parenting which would ordinarily be a point of shame if cameras weren’t pointed at them) was the reason their first show was canceled, that’s not a big shock. ‘We’re going to be doing some filming, preparing to welcome this little one into our lives’.
“They thought it was an important issue, and they showed an incredible amount of courage in sharing their story”.

One of the spin-offs will focus on Dillard and her husband, Derick, as they moved to El Salvador to conduct missionary work. This prompted Josh Duggar himself, with the support of parents Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar, to confess to his indiscretions – that is, the 19 Kids and Counting star admitted to engaging in extramarital affairs during his marriage with Anna Duggar, who was carrying their fourth child at that time. Starting off with the surfacing of the police records, which showed that Josh Duggar inappropriately touched five underage girls, the 19 Kids and Counting clan had nowhere else to go but down. A portrait of wholesome family life, it became TLC’s most watched series, averaging 3.2 million viewers, until it was pulled from the air in May, then officially canceled in July.
