Juliet and Charlie Cleverdon, foster carers from Calvert Green, Bucks, have been presented with the Outstanding Contribution by a Foster Carer Award, at The Fostering Network’s Fostering Excellence Awards.
The Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton is the doting mum to two-year-old son Prince George and baby Princess Charlotte, but on Tuesday evening Kate left her brood at home and found time to bond with other youngsters.
“Sadly not every young person has a positive start in life, but The Fostering Network, foster carers and all those involved in working with fostered young people throughout the United Kingdom will continue to strive to make life better for them”.
They’ve fostered 30 children all of whom have had a learning disability and mild physical disability across 30 years.
Kate and Holly, who also wore a stunning blue dress, laughed away as they shared a table for the evening.
Wearing a cobalt blue Saloni crinkle-effect dress, Kate made her much-anticipated entrance at the British Medical Association House in central London.
Both William and Kate dressed in dark colors to mark the solemn occasion.
The Duchess of Cambridge had her luscious brown locks curled, with the top of her hair pinned back.

The awards aim to celebrate extraordinary achievements of people within the fostering community, including foster carers, young people, social workers, civil servants and other young organisations, as well as of young people aged 16 to 24 who have been fostered. “In many ways I feel torn, because it’s like, why am I up here dancing and having fun when people are crying over the loss of their loved ones?” she told the crowd, according to Us Weekly. These children have often experienced neglect and abuse, or have witnessed domestic violence or substance misuse.
