Duke grad Eric Greitens wins Republican primary for Missouri governor
First-time candidate Greitens managed to beat out his three opponents, all of whom had run for statewide office in earlier years. After votes were tallied, Greitens received 34 percent of Republican votes, 10 percentage points more than candidate in second place, businessman John Brunner. Our daughter, it was her first vote cast today, was for her mom and I think a lot of young girls cast vote today, that’s important. Now he can add another item: Republican nominee for Missouri governor.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) Eric Greitens already has a resume that’s remarkable: Navy SEAL officer, Rhodes scholar, White House fellow, boxer and martial arts expert, humanitarian to homeless children and war refugees, best-selling author and founder of a nonprofit that helps that military veterans find jobs.
Greitens, 42, will now face Democratic Attorney General Chris Koster in the November 8 general election.
Tuesday’s ballot features one of the most competitive Republican gubernatorial primaries in a generation, as well as contests for numerous federal, state and local offices. “The ads will be paid for by the very same conservative politicians who once chose me as their leader”.
In a March 2015 interview, Greitens told The Forward that he is “proud to be Jewish”, and that he saw his entry into politics as an extension of the Jewish mandate of tikkun olam.
Greitens addressed his victory party on Tuesday night.
Libertarians have also chosen Cisse Spragins to represent them.
“So what is Eric Greitens hiding in the creases and crevices of his campaign?” the ad questioned.
The number one topic of tonight’s discussion was republican gubernatorial candidate, Eric Greitens. Though Greitens had no role, Schweich had believed that other Republicans were turning against him with negative attacks and rumors. His death led to at least temporary calls to tone down negative campaigning.
