Kevin Durant scored 19 points, Klay Thompson added 17 and the Americans rolled to a second straight blowout exhibition victory, 106-57 over China on Sunday night.

The new Golden State Warriors star’s versatile game impressed ESPN’s J.A. Adande: “Kevin Durant has three assists in his first four minutes of action”.

In a scary harbinger of things to come, newly minted teammates Durant and Thompson each connected on four makes from deep. Anthony filled the box score with eight rebounds and five assists, but shot 2-of-9 from the field en route to five points.

Led by three-time Olympians Tamika Catchings and Sue Bird, and a number of WNBA superstars, the number one ranked team in the world won’t be short in global experience moving on to Rio.

Yi Jianlian, formerly of the Milwaukee Bucks, led China with 18 points and seven rebounds.

With the second quarter almost half over during the United States’ 111-74 win over Argentina, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green finally took the floor as teammates.

Next up, Team USA comes to ORACLE ARENA on Tuesday, July 26th, to face China (again).

Losses on Olympic hardwood are rare for the United States, which have an all-time record of 130-5 in Games competition and will be expected to add to the win column as they chase a third consecutive gold medal.

NBA TV, which is managed by one of the NBA’s two linear broadcast partners, Turner, will livestream all nine of the exhibition games on Facebook.

While they’re not the Dream Team, the USA squad in Rio is still an impressive group of players. The other protagonist, Team Argentina, will hail from Group B together with the other friendly games participant, Nigeria. We shared the ball even better.

Scola’s game suggested that he will be mostly a role player for the Nets. Still, it made the news, and anyone who was looking for new reasons to dislike Green and the Warriors, got them with abundance over the last two months. With NBA players making up 100% of this roster, and NBA players being the top 1% of all basketball players in the world – – well, I’ll let you do the math.
