Wiesberger Takes 1-Stroke Lead After 2nd Round of KLM Open (read here): Talented Austrian Bernd Wiesberger has hit the front at the Dutch open, but local favorite Joost Luiten remains well-positioned just one shot behind him.
But both Scott and fellow-Queenslander Jason Day are projected to rank third and fourth in the points rankings going to the Tour Championship in Atlanta in just over a week, meaning that they are in with a great chance of winning the $US 10 million bonus pool at East Lake.
There’s a long way to go. “Making a bunch of birdies is a good way to start”.
The 31-year-old began the third frame co-leading with Johnson but labored through a birdie-less two-bogey showing.
“Since the spring, I just haven’t putted consistently well throughout a tournament”.
“With all the rain we got last night I struggled with the speed (on the greens) early in the round, kept leaving everything a little bit short but got a handle on it the back nine and finished off really nicely”, the world number two told Golf Channel. “I would love to be back”.
He won’t find out until Friday if he’s even leading the tournament.

And then he was off and running.
Adam Scott finally got some putts to drop and with birdies on the last two holes, he shot a 67 and joined Matt Kuchar (68) at 11-under 205. Casey shot a bogey-free 68 on Saturday, utilizing his strong accuracy off the tee to overcome some shaky putting.
Rory McIlroy, victor of last week’s Deutsche Bank Championship, shot a one-over 72.
Paul Casey shot a six-under 66 to move into third place on 11 under. Instead, he closed with a 77 and wound up moving only 10 spots to No. 57.

Still, he can only hope for a repeat.
And, just like last week’s Deutsche Bank Championship, there’s a lot of cash on the line.
Tomorrow’s final round of the BMW at Crooked Stick in IN will determine whether they remain in that position and keep their chances of becoming the first Aussie to win the Fedex Cup in its 10-year history.
The tee times for the BMW championship have changed for Friday. And what a difference it made. It’s the same one Jason Day uses. After the delay, it was an entirely different golf course. He is tied for 21st with Patrick Reed at five under.
The course could be attacked, and that’s what the players did. Along with what he described as “10 million reasons” why he wants to win, other rewards are available.
Sucher bogeyed the par-5 16th and was facing a 15-foot par putt on the par-3 17th at Canterbury when play was stopped.
