Tariq Ramadan, a professor of Islamic Studies at Oxford University in England and president of the European Muslim Network think tank said in a statement: “Absolute and immediate condemnation”.
Members of the council said that ISIS is not representative of the Muslim community. Terrorists are Sinful, immoral, barbaric offenders. “We pray that Allah Almighty bestow peace and stability in all corners of the world for everyone in our global village”.
To silence them, Muslims around the world took to Twitter to condemn the terrorists and defend Islam. Their religion is intolerance hatred for Peace.
“It will be very hard now for us because we will see an increase again of Islamophobia, as people will associate the act of these terrorists with all Muslims”, he said.
The downing of the Metrojet Airbus full of Russian holidaymakers over Egypt two weeks ago – probably the work of an Islamic State affiliate there – indicated an evolution in the group’s strategic thinking. If we’re serious about defeating the Islamic State, we can’t prove them right.
I agree wholeheartedly that condemning violence against innocent souls is an appropriate Muslim response as it falls into the category of enjoining the good and forbidding evil (al-amr bil ma’roof wa annah’yi an al-munkar).
Speaking to BBC Radio Wales’ Sunday Supplement programme, Ms Al Faifi said IS wanted to create a perception of “us and them”, adding: “Welsh Muslims are living in huge fear of backlashes”. “This is an extremist group that has declared war on all of us”.
Muslim politicians also spoke out against the terror attacks.
France has been on high alert ever since the attacks on the Charlie Hebdo newspaper and a kosher supermarket in Paris in January killed 18 people.
