Duterte slams United Nations for ‘interfering’ in Philippine drug war

During her watch as chairperson of the Commission on Human Rights, she initiated a probe into Duterte’s involvement with the DDS, which she said has carried out at least 1,000 summary executions in Davao.

President Rodrigo Duterte hit back at a lady senator who criticized his campaign against illegal drugs amid the rising number of extrajudicial killings and alleged human rights violations. Duterte was mayor of Davao City for over two decades and is credited for turning a once lawless city into a model for peace and order. The President initially said, the person’s boyfriend had supposedly received drug money on her behalf during the campaign, but he did not say where these funds came from.
