Dwayne Johnson Talks ‘Baywatch,’ Zac Efron and Speedos

While Dwayne hinted that Pamela’s character of C.J. might return, the actress told TMZ that she had not been asked to do the reboot. If you ask her (which TMZ did), there’s no chance in hell the “Baywatch” remake will be any good.

She says that a modern studio film based on the series will ultimately end up sucking because it can’t possibly capture the “simpler, sweeter time” when the series was made, so it will have very little in common with the original.

The “Baywatch” remake is a bad idea that should never be made into a movie…so says the woman who became famous from the original. It’s all on objective, though.

“The cool thing about this is we want to make a movie that’s big, fun, epic, and all the things that you want”, he said at the D23 Expo.

He continued, “Director Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief) has a dope vision and is ready to roll”.

Not only does Johnson get to break out the baby oil for this fun, R-rated beach romp, but we get to see Zefron shirtless too! Bring the beach movie back – to the world. “But also have something that has edge and has badass action”, Johnson told a room full of reporters. It’s not for lack of interest in the part, though.
