When he was just 2 years old, David Spisak, Jr. was diagnosed with leukemia.
The youngster, who was first diagnosed with cancer when he was two, learned in March that the disease had come back for a fourth time. After so many years of illness already his parents knew how tough the treatment would be, so they decided to just make his life as great as possible in whatever time he had left.
She also wrote in a fundraising campaign set for David online, “No more isolation from people or places, restrictions, living in hospitals; only swimming pools, going places, fun, playing with other kids, going hard and fast to make it count!” When asked how he knew he loved Ayla, David’s answer was simple.
They began first by arranging a date with David’s new girlfriend Ayla; a trip to a bowling alley, complete with a teddy bear and flowers as a gift.
David’s parents knew he had a crush on Ayla, but it wasn’t until David was pulled out of school and his classmates sent letters to him that they realized how serious the “crush” actually was. Others were from classmates writing about how much Ayla missed the young boy, according to Fox6 News.
‘She kinda looks like Snow White, ‘ he said.
By the end of their evening, David got his first kiss- on the cheek. The boy was able to get out of his wheelchair and walk for the first time in a month. They planned a date for both the kids. “This is no silly crush or kids trying to be grown up; this is a special bond that our children have that, in person, you can just tell is so honest and respectful”.
‘He hasn’t been out of the wheelchair since 10/10/15 but love will empower you’.
“He was just so determined for her, he really pushed himself for her”, Spisak said.
“That’s where we sort of put together that this was something more”, said Amber. “His dad and I kept trying to stay close behind him to make sure he wouldn’t fall, but he kept trying to be with her and taking her help”, affirmed David’s mom, Amber Spisak. “The time is now coming soon for this sweet baby of ours”, the family wrote on November 9.

When you think of your first love, you may think back to your high school years or even someone you met in college. “This was as real as it gets, and even a few of us grown-ups could take a lesson from them”.
