Thankfully, one year later, Microsoft has unveiled a brand new video that gives gamers a bit of a closer look at the game.

ReCore, Microsoft’s E3 2015-announced action adventure game from Keiji Inafune and “the makers of Metroid Prime”, will launch for Xbox One and PC on September 13 in North America, September 15 in Japan, and September 16 in Europe.
In ReCore we take control of a female character named Joule who is followed by a bunch of robotic sidekicks. We’re also slated to see the title during the week, so stay tuned for that. Moving on to a collection of large-scale enemies, it looks as though the environments of ReCore are hardly the safest. There’s Mack, her programmed-to-be-faithful robot hound; Duncan, a heavy-hitting robot gorilla; and Seth, some sort of nightmare spider-turret, plucked from the very depths of your darkest nightmares.
The Far Eden colony was meant to be a paradise, where humans and Corebots could build a future together.

In addition Xbox has listed the release date as the 13th September 2016 and is coming as part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program, meaning you can buy it on Windows 10 or Xbox One, and play the game on either device.
