“Next year, you’ll get a new installment of Star Wars Battlefront, and we’re listening to the fans, and will add new content including content from the new films”. Among the announcements are the already known Star Wars Battlefront sequel, the Visceral Star Wars game we’ve been waiting on and a new project. Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes will get new features like guilds and raids with future updates planned to extend the life of the game. The graphics of the game looked great, and they showed some impressive motion-captured lightsaber action too.
The annual gathering of the game industry kicked off Sunday with EA’s news conference and continues through Thursday.
Piloting an X-Wing is an aspect of the Star Wars universe many of us have dreamed of experiencing. DICE and Criterion are also working on an exclusive Star Wars Battlefront VR mission for PlayStation VR.
Alongside new info regarding The Walking Dead video game adventure series by Telltale Games, we have also recently been feasting our eyes on the screenshots for their Batman creation. It’s called Star Wars: Trials on Tatooine.
Despite this massive desire for new Star Wars gaming titles, there has been very little in the way of concrete news on what Disney has in store for us.
EA detailed its plans for a number of Star Wars game projects including a release window for Visceral Games’ contribution to the blockbuster franchise. The video showed some of the concept art for the game, as well as early in-game footage, which featured a character walking through what appeared to be a desert town (it’s always a desert town).

Are you excited for any of these new games? Beyond that, Respawn Entertainment is working on what Raymond describes as a “third-person action-adventure game, one that features a different style of gameplay and takes place in a different timeline we have yet to explore with our EA Star Wars titles”. Former Naughty Dog developer Amy Hennig also makes an appearance in the video as well.
