Eagles, Fletcher Cox Agree to Six-Year Extension
Of course, Suh received $59.5 million fully guaranteed at signing, so Cox’s $63 million guaranteed in totality does not surpass that.

The guaranteed money is the largest amount for any non-quarterback in National Football League history, according to the report.
Last season, Cox started all 16 games for the third straight year and earned his first career Pro Bowl berth after setting single-season career highs in total tackles (104), solo tackles (80), tackles for a loss (16.5), sacks (9.5) and forced fumbles (three).
Monday’s news comes one week after Cox reported on time for the team’s three-day mandatory minicamp after skipping the voluntary workouts of the offseason program.
Cox and the Eagles have agreed on a massive new contract.
During his four years in Philly, Cox quickly outplayed the four-year, $10.24 million deal that he was given as a rookie. The deal keeps Cox in Philadelphia through the 2022 season and his 31st birthday. The durable defender has only missed one game during his entire career.
Cox is expected to be a huge beneficiary of new defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz’s 4-3 scheme, which emphasizes penetration.

Last week, Doug Pederson put a timetable on when a new deal for Fletcher Cox would come. The 22 sacks are the sixth most by an interior defensive lineman in franchise history. Although Von Miller hasn’t publicly stated what kind of money he’s looking for, you can bet that he’ll want more guaranteed money than Cox.
