Although Alonso’s ailment is more alarming because of his history of knee troubles, Kendricks’ issue is concerning as well.

Kiko Alonso left in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys with a injury to his left knee.

Alonso was having a good game and it is unclear how, or when Alonso was injured on Sunday.

Acquired by the Eagles from the Buffalo Bills in exchange for running back LeSean McCoy this offseason, Alonso was expected to anchor head coach Chip Kelly’s defense going forward.

In the meantime, it seems like a positive sign that there are some indications the Alonso injury might not be an ACL.

The linebacker was able to walk back to the locker room, although we’ve seen others do the same before finding out bad news after post-game evaluations and MRIs.

With Alonso and Kendricks out, the Eagles turned to DeMeco Ryans and Jordan Hicks on the inside.

Alonso was one of the best linebackers in the league during his rookie year in 2013, but has been plagued by injury since then. After they made him a second-round pick, he put up 159 tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and four interceptions while playing in all 16 games.
