Eagles Knock Off Saints 39-17 for Second Win
It was three hours of mental and physical therapy reminding them of their potential. The Eagles offense racked up 34 first downs and 519 yards of total offense.

What’s important to keep in mind, though, is that the Saints are just as troubled as the Eagles are. Sixers forward Jerami Grant had a great game with 19 points, 1 rebound, and 4 assists. The Eagles finally cashed in after Murray ripped off a 24-yard run to the Saints 34.
Philadelphia switched to quarterback Sam Bradford and running back DeMarco Murray in the offseason but neither move has paid off thus far, placing pressure on head coach Chip Kelly after the Eagles have dropped to a 1-3 record and appear in danger of missing the playoffs once again. On Sunday the Saints turned Fletcher Cox into a combination of J.J. Watt and Reggie White; He had three sacks and a tackle behind the line.
The win was the first at home for the Eagles since a 43-24 win over the Titans at the Linc on November 23, 2014. After an 18-yard pass play that put the Eagles into the red zone, Bradford looked to Riley Cooper only to find Saints corner Brandon Browner. And quarterback Sam Bradford was not sacked in 45 passing attempts.
And it’s not like this is an issue that’s plagued Bradford throughout his career. Bradford has played better recently, but there are still plenty of areas of concern for him to address. Great opening kickoff return, then caught four passes for 78 yards and a 41-yard touchdown catch and run.

Kelly and his assistants obviously are trying to get Bradford to start as well as he finishes but have not found the formula for that yet.
A week after a standout performance against the Dallas Cowboys, the New Orleans backfield was essentially a non-factor in this one. It’s a big thing for us.
The Saints’ first interception of the year led to their first touchdown of the game.
On Philadelphia’s next possession, Devin Breaux intercepted Bradford’s pass from the 14 in the end zone.
The Eagles wasted an eight-play drive and a 10-play drive. After injuries and fumbles hindered his ability to flash his full potential, he made a big impact on yesterday’s game. The Saints offensive line, as it is now constructed, is simply not National Football League quality. He had two sacks in the first half. After the game was tied 10-10, the turnovers led to a exhausted defense, which led to a blowout.
The Eagles broke the game open in the third. With the exception of one nice deep ball, the vast majority of Cooks’ numbers were useless numbers in mop-up time.
If the Rams win, you can bet that their pass rush will have played a significant role.
“Do I think I am touching the ball enough?”
-Jordan Hicks recovered another fumble. Eagles starting kicker Caleb Sturgis missed an extra point, which was bad to watch. His longest of the day was a 41-yarder.
Nelson Agholor: The Eagles’ first-round pick’s disappointing rookie year continues.
It would be different if the Saints suffered close losses or had games stripped from them.
-1. The Saints played without two injured starters on the offensive line – Jahri Evans and Terron Armstead – and their lack of depth hurt them on Sunday.
The Eagles will host an NFC East battle next Monday night against the Giants.
1 p.m. Line: Falcons by 7 ½.

The following week, the Birds will fly south to face the Carolina Panthers in a Sunday night game before their bye week.
