Eagles’ Nelson Agholor Accused Of Rape At Strip Club

Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor has been accused of rape by a woman at a strip club, according to multiple media reports. Agholor has not been charged.

“There was an allegation made against one of the [Eagles] players of a sexual assault”, Philadelphia police commissioner Richard Ross told the news outlet, noting that his detectives were working with Cheerleaders’ management staff to locate video evidence from the club. At this time our Special Victims Unit is actively investigating this incident.

Philadelphia Magazine reports that the man in question visited the club with at least two of his teammates.

The Eagles said in a statement that they are aware of the incident.

Attorney Fortunato Perri Jr., who is representing Agholor, says “Nelson has not been involved in any criminal conduct whatsoever”. “Because of the legal nature of this matter, we will have no further comment”, he said in a statement.

“Once everybody investigates, I believe he will be exonerated”, said Agholor’s agent, Roosevelt Barnes.

“A 27-year-old dancer told police that she was raped inside the club, which is located on Front Street near Oregon Avenue in South Philadelphia, about 3 p.m. on Thursday”.

The Eagles completed mandatory minicamp and their offseason program on Thursday. He finished with 23 receptions for 283 yards (12.3 average) and one touchdown.

Agholor was drafted by the team in 2015.

There are security employees in all of those areas, however, to protect both the performers and the customers, according to one of the people who knows the layout and security measures.
