On that day, over 67,000 polling stations across the country will be open for 12 hours – from 7 a.m.to 7 p.m.in British Columbia.

Rosalind Coleman, 69, of Brentwood Bay, called it a black day for Elections Canada. The site breaks down the different ridings in the election and indicates who you should “please vote for”, in order to oust the Conservative government come October 19.
When the advance polls opened at noon Friday, people lined up by the hundreds to cast their ballot.
The location of your advance poll can be found on the back of your voter information card. You can also show up at your local polling station on election day with a piece of photo ID that shows your current address, and you will be added to the list.
“One is that usually there is a big rush at the very beginning of advance polls”. But if you can’t make it out to a polling station on the 19th, you still have time today.
“Yes, I’m definitely ready for it to be over”, said one voter.
But spokesperson Dorothy Sitek says rules under the Elections Act are strict.
Long lineups throughout the weekend brought the total for the first three days of advance polls to 2.4 million a 16 per cent increase over the 2,077,000 votes recorded over the three days of advance polls in the 2011 federal general election.
Sitek said on Monday that “adjustments” were made starting Saturday to better accommodate the volume of voters. “Don’t listen to what they say – look at what they do”, he said.
“We ask electors to be cautious when partaking in these types of activities as they have no assurance that an agreement to vote swap will be carried out by the other person, as voting is secret”, she says. Adriane Carr said Monday.
More Canadians than ever are eager to cast a ballot in this year’s federal election.

“Elections Canada is concerned with the integrity of the vote, and the privacy of the vote, coercing the vote by showing your ballots”, Nyirfa said.
